Slain killed artist Amreen Bhat
Srinagar:- Two newly recruited militants of LeT were killed in an encounter in Aganhanzipora Awantipora on Friday.
IGP Kashmir said that two newly recruited militants who killed TV artist Amreen Bhat were killed in Awantipora encounter and slain killed Amreen on instructions of LeT commander Lateef.
“Both killed newly joined local militants identified as Shahid Mushtaq Bhat R/O Hafroo Chadoora #Budgam & Farhan Habib R/O Hakripora #Pulwama. They had #killed TV artist on the instruction of LeT Cmdr Lateef. 01 AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines and a pistol recovered.” Kashmir police zone tweeted while quoting IGP Kashmir.
Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them which retaliated triggering an encounter.
