Changes to Google News publisher agreement

We’ve updated our Google News publisher agreement. These changes won’t affect the way that you use Google News, but they’ll make it easier to understand what to expect from Google – and what we expect from you – as you use our services. The updates that we’ve made will take effect for existing publishers in 30 days from today’s date, so please take time to review them.
We encourage you to review the Google News publisher agreement here. The old version of the publisher agreement is available here and will be visible for 30 days from today’s date.
At a glance, here’s what this means for you:
•We’ve updated where you can find our programme policies – they’re now here.
Improved readability. Our publisher agreement is a legal document, but we’ve done our best to make it easier to understand, including streamlining language and providing definitions.
Removal of feed-based ads features. We’ve removed language related to Google-facilitated ad serving in publisher content, as our product no longer directly renders articles provided via feeds in the Google News app. Instead, content renders on your site.
And of course, if you don’t agree to our new Google News publisher agreement or have questions, you can find more information about your options in our Publisher Centre Help Centre.
Thank you,
The Google News team
