Srinagar, Jul 06 : Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 113 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 641 even as no death was reported in the last 24 hours.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 113 new cases, 35 belong to Kashmir division while as 75 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 288,205 including 285,568 recoveries and 2,425 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 167,383 including 164,622 recoveries and 2,332 deaths.
He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 641 including 212 from Kashmir division and 429 from Jammu division.
With 66 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 450,199 which is 98.81 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 113 cases today, 30 are from Srinagar, 01 from Baramulla, 02 from Budgam, and 02 Shopian in Kashmir division while 75 are from Jammu division that include 62 from Jammu district, 06 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 05 from Kathua and 02 from Samba,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,595,912 persons in J&K are under observation while 235 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 641 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,589,953 persons have completed the surveillance period and 326 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 25,830,353 samples are available.
“Out of 25,830,353 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,374,765 while 455,588 have tested positive, among them 641 cases are active, 455,588 have recovered and 4,757 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
