Srinagar, July 08: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a lady along with 250gram of charas like substance in Wagoora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In statement, the police said that “On routine naka checking, Police under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Ashraf-JKPS, SDPO Kreeri assisted by Inspr. Mohd Arif, SHO PS Kreeri and SI Nazir Ahmad, IC PP Wagoora arrested 01 lady drug peddler namely Bilkees Akhter W/O Ab Rehman Malik @ Military R/O Kalantra Payeen, District Baramulla and recovered and recovered 250 Grams of Charas like substance from his possession.”
The police spokesman further stated that Worth to mention here that the lady was accompanied with her spouse who fled away after advantage of darkness, efforts are on to arrest him.
Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation set in motion, he said.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
