Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported 101 fresh cases of Covid-19, pushing the number of total active cases to 692 in the Union Territory.
An official told KNO that among 101 new cases, 45 belong to Kashmir division while 56 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 288,301 including 285,624 recoveries and 2,425 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 167,506 including 164,734 recoveries and 2,332 deaths.
He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 692 including 252 from Kashmir division and 440 from Jammu division.
With 74 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached 450,385 which is 98.80 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 101 cases today, 39 are from Srinagar, and 06 from Kupwara in Kashmir division while 56 are from Jammu division that include 42 from Jammu district, 04 from Udhampur, 01 each from Rajouri, Doda, and Reasi , two each from Samba and Ramban and 03 from Kathua,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,596,116 persons in J&K are under observation while 249 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 692 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,590,074 persons have completed the surveillance period and 344 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 25,852,861 samples are available.
“Out of 25,852,861 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,397,054 while 455,807 have tested positive, among them 692 cases are active, 450,358 have recovered and 4,757 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
