Srinagar Jan 21 (KS):- At least five people, including a woman, were killed and 15 others sustained injuries after a mini bus skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Kathua district.
An official told the kashmir Scroll that an accident took place at Sila village of Billawar when the driver lost control of the private bus while negotiating a blind curve.
He said that bus was on its way to Dhanu Parole village from Mondli village.
He said that four people including a 60-year-old woman were found dead at the spot while 16 others who were injured were rushed to a hospital.
Later one among injured also succumbed to injuries talking toll of deaths to five while rest are undergoing treatment, he added.
Meanwhile police has taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation. (KS)
