Investigation taken up after firing on Ex-MLA’s house in Poonch

Srinagar, Jan 21 (KS): A firing incident has taken place at Lassana in Surankote area of Poonch following which police has started investigation.

Official sources told the Kashmir Scroll that reportedly there was firing incident at house of former MLA Surankote Choudhary Mohammad Akram.

They said that in the incident a streetlight has got damaged and splinter marks on building are visible.

As per preliminary investigations the splinter marks on the wall were caused by pellets from a 12-bore rifle, however, there was no injury reported in the incident, they said.

A police officer said that investigation has been taken up and all possible angles are being inquired. (KS)
