Flag unfurling in Srinagar was planned for Monday, preponed after permission: Congress’ Jairam Ramesh

Srinagar, 29 Jan (KS): Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Sunday said that the permission to unfurl tricolour at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk on Sunday was given by state administration.
Congress had earlier planned to hoist the national flag at the PCC Office on Monday to mark the end of Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir.
“@RahulGandhi was supposed to unfurl national flag on Jan 30th in PCC office, since permission to do so elsewhere wasn’t given. Last evening, state administration allowed him to do so in Lal Chowk, but under condition that it should be done today on 29th at end of #BharatJodoYatra.” He said in a tweet.—(KS).
