Demand upgradation of their transformer
Srinagar, Feb 04 (KS) : The residents Pandit Colony in Noorbagh Srinagar have demanded upgradation of their transformer which according to them is developing technical snag frequently.
They said that the transformer develops technical snag frequently so government must upgrade their transformer.
“The area is without power supply since last 8 years and no one is taking cognizance of the issue.“ they said.
They said that the existing transformer often develops technical snag due to which inhabitants have to face long duration power cuts.
Since last some time their transformer develops technical snag very frequently due to which they were reeling under darkness, they added.
A local resident told The Kashmir Scroll said that government has been increasing fee as per their will but have failed to upgrade infrastructure as their transformer has developed snag many times in last Two months.
Locals said that they have been raising this issue in front of concerned higher officials but to no avail.
Another resident told The Kashmir Scroll that due to heavy load on existing transformer, it often develops snags and people have to sit through dark for long hours.
He said that every day transformer gets damaged besides that there is voltage drop due to which people of the area are suffering.
Locals said that there are dozens of households depending on the existing transformer and government must provide one more transformer or update the existing transformer in the area.
The locals demanded that government must look into the matter at an earliest and upgrade the existing transformer so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
They demanded personal intervention of Chief Engineer PDD and concerned Executive Engineer in this regard.(KS)
