Few days old among five members of non-local family die of suffocation in Kupwara

Srinagar, 8 Feb(KS): Five members of a non-local family, currently living at Kralpora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, died due to suspected suffocation.

An official told The Kashmir Scroll that Majid Ansari, resident of Bijnore Uttar Pradesh along with his family were living in a rented accommodation at Kralpora.

He said that all were found unconscious and locals sought help from a local doctor, however, all were declared dead.

The deceased were identified as Majid Ansari (35) son of Ahmad Hussain, his wife Sohana Khatoon (30), their children Faizan Ansari (4), Abu Zar (3) and an newly born baby.

He said that it seems family has died due to suffocation, however, investigation in this regard has been taken up.—(KS)
