JKTA delegation met Principal Secretary School Education , DSEJ

Demanded inclusion of Teachers appointed under RET scheme under ATD

JMU 6 Mar : A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA)
led by its UT President Bhupinder Singh and accompanied with UT Media Secretary Sadaket Malik and District Chairman Udhampur
Surjeet Singh Thakur met Alok Kumar (IRS), Principal Secretary School Education Department at civil Secretariat Jammu here today evening.
While interacting with Principal secretary School education , Bhupinder Singh hailed the decision of the department for timely regularisation of gazzeted and non gazzeted employees and decision of ATD at the right time which will be benificial for the students. Interacting with Principal Secretary, Bhupinder singh also demanded inclusion of Teachers appointed under RETs scheme in ATD besides a comprehensive transfer policy for these teachers as these teachers are working in the same school for last 22 years. Singh also demanded that the teachers(Rets) who are suffering from medical ailments be transferred on medical grounds and also female teachers be transferred on marriage grounds.

Principal Secretary School education assured the delegation that the ATD exercise is going to be done in a very short span of time and the matter pertaining to the transfers of teachers appointed under Ret scheme on Medical and marriage grounds will be discussed at departmental level and will be resolved at an earliest.
Meanwhile JKTA delegation also met
Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) Dr. Ravi Shankar and thanked DSEJ for DPCs of teachers to Master which is a historical step as the same DPCs were pending since last nine years. While interacting with DSEJ, Bhupinder Singh demanded further DPCs from Teachers to Masters which are lying pending, approval of time bound files of Masters, earned leave in favour of teachers who are deputed in various non teaching duties. DSEJ also assured the delegation for early redressal of the issues raised by JKTA.
