Detailed: Four dead, 19 injured as bus turns turtle on NH in Awantipora

Srinagar, Mar 18 (KS) : At least four persons died while around 20 were injured after a bus they were travelling in turned turtle in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Saturday morning, officials said.

They told the Kashmir Scroll that a bus bearing registration number JK02BA 1881 on way to Srinagar from Jammu turned turtle on National Highway near bridge in Gooripora Awantipora in which around two dozen persons received injuries.

They said that all injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, however, three of them succumbed on way to hospital while another died at SDH Pampore.

He said that those who lost their lives were identified as Nasrudin Ansari from West Champaran Bihar, Raj Karan from Khatia Pichhia Bihar, Saleem Ali from Telta Bihar and kaisar Alam of Katihar Bihar and all dead bodies are lying in SDH Pampore mortuary.

He added that 8 persons with minor injuries are being treated at SDH Pampore while 11 more persons with severe injuries have been shifted to SKIMS Soura, B&J hospital Barzulla and SMHS Srinagar.
