Three shopping complexes and eight residential houses were damaged in fire incident at Dargah Hazratbal area of Srinagar on Monday.
An official said that fire broke in a shopping complex at Dargah Hazratbal near Kashmir University and in no time it engulfed the nearby structures.
He said that soon after fire broke out, fire tenders were called who controlled the fire, however, three shopping complexes and eight residential houses suffered in the incident.
He said that around 18 fire and emergency vehicles were used to control the fire and fire has been controlled while cause of fire is being ascertained.
He said that damage inspection is going on and all possible assistance will be provided to the victims.
