Road to be cleared today :- Official
Srinagar, April 21 (KS) :- A major slide has once blocked Pahalgam-Chandanwari road in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told the Kashmir scroll that a huge slide occurred on Pahalgam-chandanwari road on Thursday evening near Zig Morh.
He said that men and machinery were deployed on the job for clearance, but due to the huge size of the slide, the road could not be cleared even after deploying 3 JCBs.
However all the passengers and tourists have been evacuated, by the cooperation of Pahalgam Sumo stand Union, he said.
For the clearance of the road, L&T has been sent to the site of work and the road will be cleared today, he said.
Notably days before small slide had blocked, however, it was cleared just within few hours.
