Srinagar, April 23 (KS) :- One pilgrim died while as at least four pilgrims were injured in a road accident in Katra area of Jammu division on Sunday.
A police officer told Kashmir Scroll that an accident occurred in Muri Katra when a traffic police vehicle bearing registration number JK02CM/6937 was coming from Katra to Jammu collided with car bearing registration number HP38G-2021.
In the incident five pilgrims received injuries who were shifted to CHC Katra for treatment where one was declared brought dead while four others were shifted to GMC Jammu.
Pilgrim who succumbed has been identified as Shivani (21) daughter of Sarup Singh while injured were identified as Vivek Kapoor (43) son of Vinod Kapoor, Monica Kapoor (42) wife of Vivek Kapoor, Muktika Kapoor (20) daughter of Vivek Kapoor and Rashita Kapoor (11) daughter of Vivek Kapoor who all are resident of Nurpur Himachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation—(KS)
