Eminent face of Houseboat and Spokesperson Kashmir Houseboat owners Association Mohammad Yaqub Dunoo today early morning visited Houseboat Trambak, owned by M.Yousuf Pala located at Ghat 8 Dal Lake and took stock of the sinking Houseboat.
Yaqub Dunoo observed Houseboat owners seek approval of reconstruction and repairs of their houseboats on war footing otherwise this Heritage of Kashmir will disappear one day.
The Houseboat owners of Dal lake appreciated the job of Batmaloo Fire station staff and Dal gate fire station staff.
He expressed concern that
actually Dockyard was constructed in 2010 for the purpose reconstruction and repairs of houseboats unfortunately till Date not 1 houseboat has been reconstructed neither repaired.
