5 non-local residents injured in South Kashmir road accident


Srinagar, May 14 (KS) :- A least five non local residents were injured in a road accident in Shamsipora area of South Kashmir Kulgam district.
An official told news agency—Kashmir Scroll that during night hours a winger tempo bearing Reg. No. JK14C-1813 on way from Jammu to Srinagar turned turtle at NHW Shamsipora near railway Phatak.
In the incident five non-local residents were injured who have been referred to GMC Anantnag for treatment, he said.
They have been identified as Rohit Kumar S/o vijay Kumar R/o SGM Nagar Faridabd Haryana, Anju Devi w/o vijay kumar R/o Faridabad Haryana, Kanchan Devi W/o Sanjet Kumar R/o Tata nagar Jharkhand, Shakeela Devi W/o Late Jai Prakash R/o Tata nagar Jharkhand and Vabita Kumari W/o Rajesh Kumar R/o Karnal Haryana.
Official said that driver has fled away from the spot while Case FIR no. 34/2023 u/s 279,337, 427 IPC has been registered and further investigation has been taken up—(KS)
