VMS inaugurates digital literacy lab in Srinagar


Srinagar:- Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) formally inaugurated the Digital Literacy Lab established for visually impaired persons on Wednesday 17th of May, 2023 in the Auditorium of VMS.
The Digital Literacy Lab is established in collaboration with Enable India Banglore. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr. Dipesh Sutariya Chief Managing Director/ Co-founder Enable India Bangalore and his team.
Other dignitaries from various Govt. and Non-government organizations including Dr. Shiekh Sajad HOD ophthalmology SKIMS Medical College, Dr. Sadaf Ophthalmologist SMHS, Mr. Pranesh Nagrey Honorary Director and Trustee Enable India, Ms. Ritupama Manager See Million Campaign, Ms. Shaista Shameem Joint Secretary Board of Technical Education and Managing Committee Members of Voluntary Medicare Society graced the occasion by their presence.
The guest lecturers highlighted the importance of digitization in imparting the training and other skills to persons with visual impairment.
Honorary Director & Turstee Mr. Pranesh Nagrey in his Speech promised for all possible help to VMS in every disability field. President VMS Dr Mohammad Maqbool welcomed Team Enable India and other esteemed guest in VMS.
Prof. Dr Mushtaq Margoob Executive Member VMS in his speech highlighted the importance of mental health and well- being for all with the beneficiaries.
Mr Khurshid Ahmad Malik IAS former Commissioner Sec. Shared his personal experience about the disability challenges Secretary Prof Masooda Yasin presented the vote of thanks to EnAble India and other dignitaries.
