Srinagar,May 24 (KS): Seven people were killed and three others were injured when a vehicle carrying workers met with an accident near the site of under construction Dangduru hydel power project in Kishtwar district.
An official told the Kashmir Scroll that a cruiser vehicle skidded off the road and fell into deep gorge.
Seven people died on the spot while three others were injured who were later shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, he said.
Those who lost their lives have been identified as Sudesh Singh s/o karam Chand r/o kythwara district Doda kastigarh, Akhter Hussain slo mohd abass, ro pinjradi, dangduroo, Abdul Rashid s/o Aziz mohd ro banjwar kishtwar, Mubassar Ahmad ro Doda, Itwa s/o mukand Singh r/o jharkhand, Rahul s/o Sanjay Sahu r/o siribria, district gumla , jharkhand and Karan Kumar s/o mohan lal r/o karur kishtwar.
A case has been registered and further investigations taken up, he said.
