Srinagar, Jun 19 (KS): Army on Tuesday continued the rescue operation to retrieve the body who drowned in flood channel in Srinagar on Sunday.
An official told the news agency— Kashmir Scroll that an eight year old boy identified as Ikhlas son of Ab Qayoom resident of Hamdaniya Colony drowned in flood channel near Mithayi Bund Hamdaniya Colony on Sunday.
He said that soon after he drowned, locals along SDRF team and police started rescue operation, however, they failed to retrieve the body of minor on day 02.
Operation was put on halt for night and it resumed on Monday where army also joined the operation, they said.
They also didn’t got success to retrieve body on Monday and restarted operation on Tuesday—(KS)
