Srinagar: A 17 years old young girl Sakhira Bashir a Student of 12 class, hailing from Chattergul area of district Ganderbal who is known for her art skills from last 2 year.
She had started calligraphy at a very young age and has been wining hearts with her art work.
She started her artwork from her previous school Army Goodwill Secondary School Margund Kangan with full support of the authority and teachers Sakhira bashir has competed in several art competitions from last two year, which has not only given her recognition but also winning her several awards at local and district level.
She had also secured first position in Bharti foundation calligraphy competition”
While talking, Sakhira Bashir said, “I love to play with colours, when I was a kid, I started paint and love the art of calligraphy also” Talking on the same she said, ” Today in our society there are a lot of problems whether it is drugs or violence against women, calligraphy is such a art that will prevent us from these evils.
She is an athlete and besides that she is going to start up resin artwork and lippan (Mandala art)very soon.
She further said that I would like to give a message to the youth that try to bring out the talent that is hidden inside you and humble request to all parents to support their children in every field”
