Sopore Haji pilgrim passes away

Srinagar, July 19 (KS) : A Haji pilgrim from Sopore who returned from Hajj on Tuesday has passed away after battling a massive heart stroke.

Sources told Kashmir Scroll that one Haji of the first batch returned from Hajj, namely Ghulam Mohammad Gojri, son of Mohammad Ramzan Gojri of Hygam Sopore, aged around 70 years old, suffered Brian haemorrhage at home. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors referred him to JVC Srinagar.

Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the pilgrim’s condition deteriorated rapidly; sadly, he succumbed to the illness today morning, thus leaving behind a shocked and grieving community, they said

Meanwhile, a family member of the deceased Haji also confirmed this sad news to Kashmir Scroll, saying he lost his breath today morning at SKIMS medical institute Srinagar.(KS)
